Bread was extensively described in a revised white paper published in October, 2017. At its core, Bread is a digital wallet, however, its application aims to accelerate mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies by simplifying the process of purchasing, converting, and storing them. Users of the Bread wallet can purchase Bread tokens (BRD) and receive rewards (e.g., discounts on trading fees) depending on the amount of BRD tokens they hold.
Token
BRD is a digital asset token that can be used to pay for services in the Bread wallet. It is built on Ethereum in accordance with the ERC20 standard for tokens. BRD can be bought and sold for fiat currency or other digital currencies.
BRD can be stored in a crypto wallet and custodian like Gemini.
